Snuggle Hose

Post by Taheerah » Sat Mar 10, 2018 11:04 pm

Has anyone ever tried these products and can give feedback on if they work well?

I thought it might be nice to try to make life easier for us by trying the Snuggle Hose or Snuggle Straps for example.

I have read that the snuggle hose might decrease the sound and the Snuggle Strap helps eliminate the irritation from the mask.

I would love to know your feedback and if it is worth purchasing any of these and if you have purchased any, which providers are the best ones to order from.

Thanks a lot.

I have the Snuggle Hose in the white paw print pattern (no zipper). https://www.snugglehose.com/store/p96/White_Paws.html

I think it makes the machine look less scary and more fun for my 8 year old. But I also bought it because I don't like the feel of hose plastic against my bare skin. The Snuggle Hose makes the hose feel like I'm touching a soft blanket. Very nice.

Does it cut down on noise? My machine with the Nuance Pro nasal pillow is silent with the Snuggle Hose in place. With my full face mask AirFit F20, my machine is plain ol' Darth Vader. So I guess it doesn't make a huge difference.

The velcro tabs that secure it to the hose work just "ok"; the fabric does slide down a bit and needs to be repositioned every now and then. Not a big deal to me.

Would I pay $18 again? Yes.

I have one and it both eliminates the noise that the hose makes when moving, and feels much more comfortable against me than the bare plastic hose did. I've never "felt" better (ha ha). Highly recommended! :)

Awesome!! That is great to know. I doubt that we will be able to buy it in our country but I will try to order it asap :D

Are there any other accessories you guys can recommend? The aim is to make it all less noisy for me and more comfortable for my husband. :-)

Most of us go to Karen at Padacheek.com for hose or strap covers.
http://www.padacheek.com/

I tried the snuggle strap cover for something a while back and I didn't like the feel of the material. Just felt weird to me.
I prefer the type of fleece that Karen at Padacheek uses.
Besides Karen is a forum member and cpap user herself.  I try to help out the little guy whenever I can. Just like I try to keep my money local when buying something.

Could I order it from Karen? Would you mind sharing the website? I would love to support her and knowing that it helped you is great. Did it reduce the noise at all?

http://www.padacheek.com/

I didn't use her products for noise reduction so I can't say if they would help or not. I used the hose cover for rain out prevention and the strap covers to reduce dents on my face.

I do know that I liked her hose cozy better because it was a denser/softer fleece and I would assume if denser helps with noise reduction then it should help but I don't know that denser would help.
The quality of the fleece that Karen uses just felt "better quality" to me than the material used by SnuggleHose.
Nothing overtly wrong with the Snugglehose material except I didn't like how it felt.  Another one of those YMMV things.

I am also a PadaCheek fan. I find snuggling with a covered hose much more appealing than with a bare plastic hose. I think it is worth the investment.
