P10 vent question

Post by Cathyann » Thu Mar 01, 2018 7:33 pm

I'm a stomach sleeper, will it be able to vent okay from only one side at a time? I'd hate to think I'm breathing CO2 all night long.

If you are a stomach sleeper, IMO the P10 mask will NOT work for you. I am presently using the same mask, and I tend to roll on my stomach. When I do, it dislodges the mask enough to cause leaks. There's no real way to fix this, short of using a cut-out cpap pillow, which causes you to have to sleep in a particular position that's very hard to maintain while actually asleep.

In my case, I now prop myself with pillows front and back, and mostly lay on my left side without completely rolling onto my stomach or face.

I end up on my stomach all the time. Head turned slightly to one side. Been doing it ever since I first started with the P10.....2 or 3 years now. No problem. Pillows stay in place and the venting seems to be adequate.

I lay on my stomach and everything stays in place just fine. I just worry about the c02 not escaping like it should.

Pugsys still alive so that's a good sign.

I don't ever wake with any of the usual signs of maybe having a little to much carbon dioxide and I use a rather firm buckwheat hull pillow. It's a non issue in my book. I have actually woke up with face buried in the pillow and no problems.

Unless you're using rubber sheets/pillow cases... it's not an issue.

Works fine for me when I sleep on my stomach...

3:1 for yes, stomach sleeping.
