Mine improved when Respironics started using Gel inserts In their comfort line, 100% improvements, and their putting more plastic in the lower mask ears, now it they would beef up the "T" Bat and add 3/4 inch to the "T" Center Post, they would have a mask! In my case, I had the right mask from the beginning, but it took me a smaller headgear and 6 weeks to get it right on a regular basis. I fought a LOT with it for the first few weeks. Most people would have given up. I did not, but only because I knew it was me, not the mask. In my case, the sleep tech at the lab had fitted the same style mask on me for my sleep study. I slept over 5 hours straight, with no leaks. So, I knew it was possible for this mask to fit well. I don't know if the sleep tech had smaller headgear or made it work with the standard. For me, switching to smaller headgear was a huge improvement for me.
So, don't always give up on a mask quickly if the only problem is leaks.
