I noticed something that looks like a crack in the humidifier container (what holds the liquid).
It seems to start where the metal thing is, extends about half an inch out. It looks to be in the plastic. It does not seem to be on either surface. I just noticed it today. I do not think it was there before.???
I have only had the APAP 12 days, so I am curious. Well I filled it with water for tonight. I will check tomorrow. Hopefully no leaks anywhere.
I can do this, I will do this.

I had the very same experience the other day. After close inspection I decided it was from the mold. If you follow the "crack" from bottom to top,
you'll notice it kind of flaps over.

JM, I doubt this is mold, it is in the plastic itself. Unless there is a crack by the heating plate on the thin side where the plate fits and moisture got in.

I think JM meant "the" mold, as in, the thing they form the plastic in. I think he's saying it's an inherent part of the design, not a crack. HTH.

I could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time) but, I think he means it's from the mold in which the plastic was formed (injection molding process). Not that there's actually mold growing in it.

Yes that's correct, I meant the mold from which it was made. in fact after I posted the last reply I made a closer inspection and found the same thing on the smaller side, near the outlet.

JM, you are right, it is from the mold.
Once again thanks College Girl and Nomand for correcting my misunderstand. I feel better now.
