Problem reading old messages

Post by dvejr » Fri Jan 26, 2018 1:35 pm

I use the search window to look for old posts related to my issue. It displays a list of posts. I click on one of them -any one of them - and I get this unhelpful notice:
"No posts exist inside this topic for the selected time frame."

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to, but over the years when I've been looking at some of the older posts, some of them don't "look right" and maybe a little truncated ( some of "Snoredog's" posts come to mind ).
I remember that there have been at least a couple of "upgrades" to the forum and the software, so that may be what has caused these things to appear the way they do.
I believe the threads, posts and all the information on the forum needs to be indexed for retrieval. If the posts have been somewhat corrupted, their indexes may have been also. So, again, that may be part of the glitch you're seeing.

If the forum search box fails to return results, try your browser,
while adding the word "cpaptalk".

I am not sure but you may have inadvertently set your board profile to show only posts within a selected time frame.

You might go review your board preferences in your profile to see what you might be asking it to do in terms of time frame or age of posts.
