SleepyHead time related question,.....

This is nothing of any importance, but it makes me wonder what is causing it regardless.

Last night I started my machine right at 2:00 AM, and I woke up to take my BP meds at 7:00 AM and shut off my machine. When I checked SH for the first time in a couple of weeks, I noticed that the start and end times are off a bit. Start time for last night is logged as 01:49:04, and stop time is 06:37:05 which also is not consistent in terms of how many minutes the time is off on each end.

My Airsense is showing the correct time, as is my computer. How is SH picking up the wrong time, and where is it coming from? As before, I am just curious about this 'glitch' so to speak.

SleepyHead gets the time from the ResMed device, it is correct in the clinical menu? There is a clock offset in SleepyHead under Preferences/CPAP. It should not have an entry.

I saw the clock drift setting in SH, and it is unchanged from 0 in all fields. My machine time is dead on in the clinical menu as well.

I just found this unusual, as I figured the time had to come from the Airsense as you said.

What are you using for this reference time? Is it synced with the Airsense, too?

I have a CD/Clock radio/white noise machine that I use for an alarm clock on my nightstand. The times are synced perfectly.

That clock drift setting in SH must be there for a reason, so I imagine I am not the only person to have experienced this. It's no big thing, but it made me curious.

Without looking it up, I think the clock drift is primarily for Phillips Respironics, and perhaps other, machines which can't be set manually.

When SleepyHead shows me something that doesn't seem to make any sense I always fire up ResScan and look to see what it says.

And the clock drift thing in SH....that's mainly for Respironics machine which don't have a clock that the user can manually set and instead uses a battery inside (that we can't easily get to) to run the internal clock and they are notorious for drifting due to whatever.

ResMed machines have a clock we can set so the SH clock drift thing really shouldn't be needed.

I'm not familiar with PR machines, but that makes sense. Unfortunately I do not have ResScan to double check anything with. If you happen to have a link to get it, I would appreciate a PM. I am running Windows 7 Pro still.

I believe you offered it to me previously, but I was too new to this and didn't have the interest.

Now that I'm using Resmed again I forgot that I set clock drift for my PR760 so this thread reminded to go back to zero settings.

All the equipment menu choices are tied to products that cpap.com carries currently or used to carry in the past. Seems like links to products that are no longer available/discontinued are broken so the image doesn't show up if you choose icon and text won't show up if you choose the text choice.
For this reason we tell people to just add the model name in the comments section. Your ResMed S9 VPAP Auto is no longer sold by cpap.com and the link is broken.

Now it used to be that the links to discontinued equipment weren't broken but some time back we had some forum software issues happen and when things were repaired the discontinued items links were broken. Don't know why but I have asked Carolyn about it and she said she would have her IT people check on it and see if it could be fixed. I do not know if it was something that couldn't be easily fixed or the IT person dropped the ball.
