help with Sleepyhead

I lost my SD card but have all the data through the 6th in my Sleepyhead folder. Is there a way that I can export the data to a new SD card either directly or indirectly. thanks

No. SH keeps a subset of the data that's on the card, not an identical copy.

Why would you want to write old data onto a new SD card?

The CPAP machine won't use it. SleepyHead already has a copy. So ... ??? The only reason I can think of is to pass the old data to a copy of SleepyHead on a different computer?

Just buy a new SD card and use it in the CPAP machine. Every day, simply continue sucking this new data into SleepyHead. It will combine new and old.

Even if you could write old data to the SD card, it would be tricky to get the CPAP machine to accept the re-written card. That's what happened to me. The details:

I use the terminal line "ditto" command every day to copy raw SD card contents to my Mac. I then point SleepyHead at the newly copied data on my Mac. I never read directly from the SD card to SleepyHead. This method allows me to retain a copy of the SD data even if what's already in SleepyHead somehow becomes corrupted.

But I've never had problems with the data already in SleepyHead. Instead, one day I had my SD card become corrupt.

I tried to "ditto" back old files from my computer copy to the SD card to "fix" it. I tried to change the file timestamps on the SD card. I tried a few other experiments. None worked. There is metadata, such as directory timestamps, on the SD card. The CPAP machine probably looks at that metadata before accepting the contents of the SD card. When it's not as expected, the machine throws an error message that I no longer remember exactly (I did post this a few months ago to either here or apneaboard, so the info is out there, but it's not that important).

I finally reformatted my SD card and popped it back into the CPAP machine. The machine accepted the erased card. For the last few months, the CPAP machine has been writing new data to the formerly corrupt SD card.

But as far as SleepyHead is concerned, nothing bad has happened. SleepyHead cheerfully accepts new data from the SD card every day, and combines it with its existing old data. My SleepyHead breath-by-breath data has remained fully intact.
