Resmed P10 mask a fail

Post by lathnos46 » Thu Dec 28, 2017 4:48 pm

So after finding out on here that the pillows masks are the most popular among all the masks, at least among the people who answered the poll, I decided to try the Resmed P10 mask. After 3 nights I can say with certainty it is a giant fail for me. I had major leaks I had previously tried several masks over the 1 and 1/2 years I've been on Cpap therapy and had used the Resmed N20 for the longest time. Lately though I had been having excess leaks on that mask so decided to try a pillow mask. Now I am wondering which ones I should try. I have tried the Dreamwear previously so I can cross that one off. I am thinking about the Nuance or the Swift FX. Any thoughts on those? I am buying from Cpap.com and want the return insurance so those that don't offer it I am not interested in. Thank you for your time. Lisa

I myself tried the the p10, and it leaked real bad in the 30 range. I had bought a welders cap, and i wear it backwards, so i thought i would try the p10 again as the cap help the back strap stay in place better, and i found i did much better with it . I think the leak rate was 12 . So you might want to try a welder's cap.

When I first started cpap, I don't believe I could have tolerated nasal pillows.
4 months later, I was ready.
The geometry is different with different brands/models.
There were a couple that the angle was just wrong for my nose shape.
Take a good look at how each mask fits--even using a hand mirror.
