Can CPAP/APAP Treatment Be Dangerous?

Ha! Ha! Yah he isn't my favourite. I did bring my data with me. He would not look at it.

He is younger than me, but I still feel he is an "old" style doctor and 'prickly'

Not sure about changing doctors, only because his role now is pretty much irrelevant until the next time I need a new machine and that's five years from now.

If one could blow out a thorax, sleep doctors wouldn't be setting pressures at ranges of 4 - 20.

Both ResMed and Respironics APAP machines had their own algorithms to try to prevent Centrals.
Years ago, ResMed had their "A10" algorithm to prevent "pressure-induced Centrals".
They came up with a new algorithm with the S9 Series
Respironics had their "NRAH" ( "Non-Responsive Apnea/Hypopnea" ) algorithm.

Newer sensor technology has allowed both companies to incorporate better detection into their equipment and software.
