Hi
I've done searches here but could not find much on this topic. I'm looking for any feedback on this unit. I plan on possibly buying this unit but csnt seem to find honest reviews. Im looking at how good it,reliability. I do know it is loud according to some people. This would be a travelling unit (I have a sailboat) and also as a back up to my other unit.Any feedback would be appreciated

Why don't you just buy something similar to what you're already using?

Re: Z1 Auto portable
We have some forum members here who have used the Z1 (and other travel size machines). Biggest complaint I have seen is the noise factor.
For some it doesn't matter but for some it was a deal breaker.
Unfortunately the forum search feature won't let us target anything 3 characters or less so I can't easily go find those discussions.
If traveling on sailboat means battery power...I would look closely at any machines and their power requirements.
Some of those tiny travel size machines have nit picky battery issues.
Get one that easily runs off 12 volt batteries with no special voltage requirements to make it easier and simpler.

I went through the same thing when I first got a cpap 4 1/2 years ago - I was infatuated with the Transcend and planned to get one for use on my boat. Fortunately the DME gave me a Respironics 560 which runs just fine on 12V and is a small burden on a boat battery. I ended up getting a duplicate of the 560 for use on the boat and for travel and I've been very happy with that setup. One thing to remember is that you probably won't need the humidifier on the boat and the bare pump of recent "standard" units is not much bigger than the travel machines. Respironics can run directly from 12V so there's no added weight for the power supply. ResMed requires a DC/DC converter but that's an annoyance, not a game changer.Dontwakemeup wrote:Hi

I've been looking at the new travel offerings and still haven't been tempted. I would like one for "tourist travelling" because I like to fly very light. For use on the boat (or driving vacations) I'm much happier with a duplicate of my primary machine.

You can target Z1 results. It's like Google where if you do "Z1 auto" it will search for entire description as 1 as long as it's inside the quotes otherwise it targets each word separately.Pugsy wrote:We have some forum members here who have used the Z1 (and other travel size machines). Well so it does if the quotation marks are included. Learn something new every day. Thanks.
