Apnea mentioned on Top Chef

Post by BleepingBeauty » Thu Dec 07, 2017 11:54 pm

Season 15's first episode aired tonight and, when the cheftestants were introduced to their new digs at about the :38 minute mark, apnea enters the conversation; they're choosing beds, and one of the guys says he needs electricity for his sleep apnea machine. (Apparently, two of them use a machine.)

I couldn't find a video of the show to post, but if you're interested, I think you can watch it on the Bravo app. Otherwise, the episode repeats on Bravo TV a few times over the next several days.

It always surprises me (in a good way, of course) when apnea is mentioned during a popular show.
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.

Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy. ;))

PR S1 ASV 950, DreamWear mask, F&P 150 humidifier, O2 @ 2L.
