Resmed 'my air' gives mr false reading

Post by bobbywe » Thu Nov 23, 2017 8:53 pm

I have been using the Res Med 'my air' to track my cpap. My reading last night said I only used the cpap for 2.5 hours. I know I used it for more than 7! Anyone have the same experience?

If you stopped the therapy then restarted it the data may not have been uploaded yet. I have seen that then by later in the day things are fine.

My Air is junk compared to what most here use -

https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead/shorganize

Way more comprehensive and useful, lots of detail etc. You'll need a regular SD card from almost anywhere if you don't have one in your machine already and if you need help, let us know. Once you get it up we can help interpret. Some machines (usually older) may not be compatible... what's the model etc. of yours?

It runs your day from noon to noon too. I work nights (sleep during the day) so half of my sleep is on one day and the rest is on the "next" the way it logs it. I can look at the times and account for my total amount of sleep, just looking at two days.

Could that be your issue? Also I have noticed that there is a lag sometimes with uploads.

MyAir tells me I have taken my mask off 6 to 7 times a night, when I have taken it off once. I don't even bother looking at it anymore.

My machine is showing that I used my machine for 6.75 hours and my air is showing 4 hours. Quite a difference. I'm brand new to this and quite concerned. First I'm not sleeping with the mask on so I'm very aware of what's going on and second, I have to remove the mask to get to sleep. I sure hope I get used to this quickly. Fatigue, crabby and not feeling great.
