Fitbit Iconic-can it record oxygen levels in blood

Post by Ronin » Fri Nov 24, 2017 9:14 am

Hello everyone!
Fitbit released their latest smartwatch/fitness wearable. Their is limited information i've clearly been able to see from the sales data in stores and amazon.

Has anyone purchased one and checked to see if it records your oxygen levels in your blood all night while you are sleeping to spot apneac episodes, and gives detailed information of when and how long they lasted? I believe i had limited success with a recording pulse oximeter that i wore on my finger all night and measured blood levels through the laser beam reading blood levels through the fingernail.

Your experiences????

As of now it does not . It has the sensor but it's not being used right now and they are still testing and have to get FDA approval.

My Android phone does. (Samsung Note Edge)
The result is close to my CMS-something or other, but a lot more awkward.

I have been interested in the iconic also. They made a big announcement a while back, but I have not yet seen any documentation that it's up and running. Too bad.

Quite a few bucks though.

Only wrist-worn monitors?
What about people who cannot wear a monitor on either wrist?
[[[Amputees, lymphedema, etc]]]
I use a Misfit Flash in a home-made ankle band--the app has an ankle mode
(nobody else does--vanity?);
but Misfit only supplies a easy-loss clip. (I hate losing things) (end of frog rant)

The misfit flash is interesting. I haven't seen that one before.
