Back to square one
Re: Back to square one
Perfect, I will do that.
Just to confirm, is this the right manual you are referring to?
It is called: PR-DreamStation_Provider_Manual.pdf

Re: Back to square one
Also is more than 12 as minimum pressure acceptable? I remember we started at 6.
Re: Back to square one
Pressure should be the minimum that works no matter the number. If it goes too high it can apparently start causing centrals which is definitely not an improvement.Taheerah wrote:Also is more than 12 as minimum pressure acceptable? I remember we started at 6.

Re: Back to square one
Oh no! Could the snored be related to the pressure being too high? It was fine till a week ago.
Re: Back to square one
You use the Auto/arrow down button in the therapy settings section of the clinical menu.Taheerah wrote:Hi Julie, I have received the manual from Apneaboard today and the only information I can find is the following:
Min Pressure: This screen allows you to modify the Auto minimum pressure setting. You can adjust
this setting from 4 cm H2O to the Auto maximum pressure setting. This setting only
displays if Auto-CPAP mode is enabled or if the Auto-Trial feature is available and
enabled.
It doesn't say how to do it nor what the maximum/ minimum pressure is.
To get into the clinical menu press on the control dial with the ramp button for at least 5 seconds. Rotate the control dial to therapy settings.

Re: Back to square one
I haven't heard of high pressure causing snoring, xPAP usually stops snoring because of the pressure. BUT, just because I haven't heard of it doesn't mean it can't happenTaheerah wrote:Oh no! Could the snored be related to the pressure being too high? It was fine till a week ago.

Re: Back to square one
Don't worry right now about 'too' high pressure and snoring etc... the idea is to just bump your min. by 1-2 cm for a few nights to see results... nothing terrible will happen and it's very likely snores will lessen. Then let us know what happened.
