2 weeks

I have been 100% compliant for 2 weeks! I still don't sleep through the night without waking, but the wakings are less. I have had problems with rainout and should be getting my hose cover from Offerocker and a heated hose from Australia this week, Hopefully one of those will stop the waking up from rain on my nose! My DME has ordered me the M Series Pro, but it is still not in . I need to try a different mask as I do have leak problems with 407 unless it is on real tight. Is it weird that I now look forward to putting the mask on? The rush of air seems comforting. My daughter says she doesn't hear me snoring anymore, so that is a definite plus!

I'm surprised you're doing as well as you are with the 407. I had the 405 and hated it. It's one of th e cheapest masks out there. That's probably why your DME got it for you. He can make the most profit and hang how well you do. I don't want to start on crummy DME's now though. The mask leaked like a seive and I had to wear it so tight that my eyes almost popped out. If that had been the only mask available, I probably would have quit but thank goodness for this website and all the valuable information you can get on it. I knew nothing when I started cpap treatment and the 405 is the only thing I was given. I didn't even know you had a choice and my DME didn't bother to tell me either. After becoming desparate and needing some kind of help, I found this website and learned I had choices. I ended up with the Breeze which I love and have a couple of other masks now too which I bought off this board. There are a lot of people on this board who are very knowledgable and helpful. Don't settle for somthing that doesn't work for you. Good luck with your treatment. I too now enjoy going to sleep with my mask on. The air blowing up my nose kind of lulls me to sleep as crazy as that sounds!!!!

My DME actually brought me the Activa and the 407. She wanted me to get the Activa, so we tried that on first. The standard size (smallest) was just too big on me We tried adjusting it for about 15 minutes, but no go! The 407 is fairly comfortable, but I get a numb upper lip to nose area as I have to tighten the mask too much. I am asking her to bring the Comfort gel small mask and the Ultra Mirage II for me to try. I don't like things up or pressing against my nares
