HELP!! First week!!!
Hey guys had my first to nights on apap using the resmed airsense 10! My average pressure in 10.5 ,leak is 23L/min and AHI of 10 I know those are pretty crappy numbers and wondering what your guys opinions are. if it is from the mask leak or if my pressure setting of 5-15 is to low?
Re: HELP!! First week!!!
So what is that AHI of 10 composed of?
How much is the
Central Apnea Index?
Obstructive Apnea Index?
Hyponea Index?
Before you go changing pressures you need to make sure that what you are wanting to fix is fixable by changing the pressures.
Using the software yet?

Please fill out your equipment profile - https://www.cpaptalk.com/ucp.php?i=prof ... pment_info
Sleepyhead - https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead
Also, see the thread at the top of cpaptalk's index page - Pugsy's Pointers...SleepyHead Tutorial and TX Hints.
If we can see some data, we can probably help you get that AHI down right away.
There is not enough information to give a good answer. Use Sleepyhead and post a detail graph of a night or two.Dgriffin333 wrote:if it is from the mask leak or if my pressure setting of 5-15 is to low?

Re: HELP!! First week!!!
Your 23 L/min mask leak number is what we call a 95% number and all that means is you were at OR BELOW that number for 95% of the time.
While you are skirting the red line in the sand of 24 L/min large leak territory boundary I am betting that the bulk of the night your leaks were well below the 23 L/min mark.
Even if you were at 23 all night long that isn't enough to allow large numbers of apnea events to pop up. The leak would need to be a lot worse than 23 for it to be a significant problem.
I doubt leaks are an issue unless the leaks are waking you up often and the wake ups end up causing Sleep/Wake/Junk false event reporting with the AHI being primarily awake events and thus they wouldn't count.

Okay I downloaded sleepy head and got to the data how do I upload that data to the forum ?
Re: HELP!! First week!!!
How to post data from the software reports.
https://sleep.tnet.com/reference/tips/imgur
How to organize the images..3 pages, be sure to read all 3
https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead/shorganize
Do NOT do the full screen toggle thing from within SleepyHead. With some computers it makes the image so big you can't easily get out of full screen mode. Best to not go there.
Examples of what we like to see...we do NOT want all the graphs...just one image will show the basics and if we need something else we will ask.
