Maybe AAST is pushing for it, but that doesn't mean it's a certainty, like you keep saying. And based on what the AASM says, they don't think it's necessarily a good idea.

And if you think about it, the sleep technicians shouldn't be too much in favor of it because it could possibly put some of them out of a job - ie less overnight sleep tests would mean less need for sleep techs.

Exactly. But that's not what he is saying. If he believes it or thinks it's a good idea, it's a fact and anybody who disagrees is the "l" word.
