Maybe AAST is pushing for it, but that doesn't mean it's a certainty, like you keep saying. And based on what the AASM says, they don't think it's necessarily a good idea.
And if you think about it, the sleep technicians shouldn't be too much in favor of it because it could possibly put some of them out of a job - ie less overnight sleep tests would mean less need for sleep techs.

Even if the AAST wrote that it is an opinion piece. I am pretty sure that xxyzx is not able to rationally distinguish between his own or his favored opinions and facts.
