I too was fortunate to experience improved sleep immediately, but I also started my journey knowing what to expect, as my father had severe apnea (and COPD) and had been treated with Cpap for almost a decade. I knew from friends and family that I too had it, and I knew Cpap would help. It's not placebo, it's working.

Also, for me, with severe apnea I never remembered waking up or having my sleep disturbed... it was "10:30 to 6:30" every night, except nights where I stayed up late not wanting to go to sleep (and not knowing why). I'm sure when I had untreated apnea I woke up quite a bit, and my sleep schedule was aroused as well. So I know no matter how many times I "wake up from therapy" it's better than without - I was just blacking out before from the lack of oxygen and not remebering waking up!
Instead of Sleep apnea it should be called "Sleep deprivation, starving of oxygen, being poisoned by high CO2 levels, damaging the body and brain while it's supposed to be healing so that you constantly get worse and can never get healthy Apnea"
