It's official! Got machine and mask today!

I was planning on buying my machine online but buying the mask locally so I could try it on and make sure it fits. I found a company online that had the machine I wanted, the Aircurve 10 Vauto for $1300 which is the best price I have seen anywhere. I visited a local DME today to try on masks and while there, asked them if they would consider matching online prices since I was paying cash and they did not have to mess with insurance. The rep talked with the boss and they agree to do it!! Can't beat that! I was VERY pleased with the DME! Very nice young guy helped me and the owner was also very nice and personable. Took plenty of time with me and did not try to push me into anything. It was a VERY pleasant experience and they had a HUGE assortment of masks and machines to look at. Had my machine in stock and I walked out with everything I need!

I have to have a full face mask since I really can't breath through my nose. I ended up with a Resmed AIrfit F20 and like how it feels! Got the machine and everything set up this afternoon and got a good routing for the hose up over a post on the headboard and back down. I put on the mask and tried it laying in bed. I laid on my back, my right side, and my left side like I always do. The hose is perfect and did not even know it was there and it never tugged on the mask at all. I think it will work well. I had no leaks and was quite comfortable and actually fell asleep for about 10 minutes with it! Tonight will tell more, of course so wish me luck!

Thank you for all your help thus far in guiding me in the right direction. I felt empowered and well educated at the DME and made sure they showed me the 0 run time hours on the machine. Thanks again all, especially Pugsy!

Fantastic! Makes me think that locally owned DME are easier to work with than the large corporate insurance miners.

I offered unmarked $100 bills but they preferred a check! Fine with me, save my cash for elsewhere! I did give the sales guy that was so helpful a $100 tip though! I bet he will remember me when I need something in the future!
