I recently got a new Mirage Swift II mask from my DME. I have been using the Mirage Swift II and needed a new one. I had been using it with my Remstar Auto Cpap machine which has been replaced with a Resmed 10 Autoset. In the owners manual of the Mirage II, it says not compatible with ResMEd AutoSet CS 2 and VPAP Adapt SV devices . What is the ResMEd AutoSet CS 2.
This mask should be compatible with my Airsense 10 machine, right? I haven't tried to use it yet.

Re: Resmed AutoSet CS 2
Those are all way old models of various ResMed machines that were very high end specialty machines requiring a special "circuit" fit of some sort. Not sure what all was involved but mainly those machines could only be used with certain full face masks.gregnga wrote:In the owners manual of the Mirage II, it says not compatible with ResMEd AutoSet CS 2 and VPAP Adapt SV devices . With the introduction of the S9 models those restrictions were all removed and pretty much any mask can be used with any ResMed machine that is a S9 model or the newer AirSense/AirCurve models.
You can use any mask you want with your machine. Those restrictions don't apply to you since your machine is a newer model.
I guess those restrictions are still shown because there are probably a lot of those really old and really special machines still out there.
