Re: Cpap machine Question
I love my Phillips Respironcis Dreamstation. I don't know if that helps you any, but the machine has a lot of nice comfort features and it easy to operate. Now, having said that, I have had to have a lot of help from people in this forum on understanding a lot of what the settings do/mean, etc., but that might be expected from anyone who is a beginner "papper" and has the same amount of instruction that I got at the DME's office, which was about 1.5 minutes.

Re: Cpap machine Question
You are actually listing 3 machines there.
Resmed
Phillips Respironics
Fisher & Paykel
Keep in mind Phillips and F&P are big corporations that manufacture many, many different things. Resmed is the only one that specializes in CPAP and APAP medical machines. Take from that what you will.
Resmed in my own opinion (and a few others) is the gold standard in CPAP/APAP machines. I prefer them for the better responsiveness and machine algorithms that they use. Phillips would also get the job done and are not bad machines. Many people use them and it works well for them. I am less sure about the characteristics of F&P but I would take a Phillips ahead of those ones.
Really after doing my research and using one, I would select a Resmed DATA CAPABLE machine, like the Airsense 10 Autoset, etc.
Just my own opinions.

Re: Cpap machine Question
Do not forget Devillbiss! Made in USA.
My Intellipap Autoadjust came with a 5 year warranty, and works well on either AC or 12VDC current.
Some use this economical machine full time, with access to FULL DATA.

Re: Cpap machine Question
I think the most important thing is data. FULL DATA. ......... And yes, I was shouting that.
If your wife gets a machine that has full data she will be able to monitor the effectiveness of her treatment.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how much I improved over the last 3 months. So, I know I am on the right track and I get a positive reinforcement every day when I see what happened the night before.
I am renting a Phillips right now but intend to buy the resmed autosense for her. Part of the reason is the extra algorithm for women (but men like it too). The other reason is the algorithm's response.
I am going to make a suggestion here. Ask your DME if you can trial a machine before buying. I have rented (for free) for 3 months so I now feel pretty comfortable with making my selection.
But whatever machine you choose make sure it is full data. There is tons of information on this forum and it makes a big difference in feeling good about using xPap.
Masks are like shoes. They have to fit well, otherwise they are a pain. Read up on mask fitting here at the forum. You will thank me later (Monk)

Re: Cpap machine Question
Small is your only concern, that would be on the bottom of my list. Jim
Use data to optimize your xPAP treatment!
