Res Med S-9 Vs. Air Sense 10

Post by Luthie2006 » Mon Sep 18, 2017 11:47 am

Good morning: I recently wrote a post below that I have not had a response from. I think I "broke" my S-9 machine by transporting it in a hurry to a friend's house with water loaded in the humidifier. I have since heard like a "drippy" intermittent water faucet sounds like a little river in the machine, hoses in or hoses out, (not rain-out) when the humidifier is attached.
Anyways I am not eligible for an Air Sense machine from my insurance provider, but wondering if there are any advantages to an Air Sense machine over an S9? I have been having remarkably great success with my S-9 except for this annoying "drippy water" faucet" sound coming from the machine. Any advantages to spending a ton of $$ without insurance for an Air Sense machine over my S-9 (as long as I can tolerate the drippy faucet sounds of water)? Thank you so much.

. . ."a ton of money"? Is this based on local DME prices, CPAP.com, or secondwindcpap.com?
You may be surprised.

Hi Chunky Frog: Thanks for responding. My $$ is based on CPAP.com, and DME with no insurance now. I guess for me shelling out over $650 (unless I absolutely have to because S-9 is leaking water in the compartment) is expensive for me. I wrote another post below; if you would be so nice to look at it possibly at your convenience? I would so appreciate it regarding "water leaking noises" into S-9 compartment with/without hoses connected? Thank you.

Check your local Craigs List. Machines can often be found there at very low prices. These machines are sold as is with no warranty, so be careful. Make sure the machine works before you purchase it.
