What is a "clap" machine?
All kidding aside, it depends on your machine and how long you wait after you finish sleeping.
After a good half hour, most of us are safe.
Most of us only unplug it when traveling.

I know with the older cpaps it took 60 mins before the session ended, meaning that is when the data was written to the card. If you find you are missing data then its not OK. What is the reason you want to unplug? And how long after getting up?
