Alternative Sources of Power
Aside from a long extension cord, does anyone have any other alternative sources of power for the machines? I live in coastal SC and may have a need beginning early next week. Thanks.

Capn Loki is our resident battery expert. I'd suggest you read this thread. viewtopic/t114012/Choosing-a-Battery.html#p1102354.
You may want to read and visit your local Walmart or Autozone type store for the needed supplies.

That spaghetti modeling isn't being very kind to SC....
I'm using:
2 55ah AGM deep cycle marine batteries from Sams club. I can carry these, the 105ah is too heavy and it's good to have 2 if one fails.
2 1.25 amp tenders from walmart (junior plus) one for each battery.
1 10/2 amp marine battery charger i have had for years
1 Renogy 100 watt portable solar kit suitcase solar panels arriving today.
1 aircurve10 DC power brick with alligator cigarette socket connector from cpap.com
1 resmed S9 DC power brick with alligator clip cigarette socket connector from cpap.com
1 side cover for the Aircurve10 because I won't be using the humidifier to reduce power draw.
1 16 foot jumper cable just in case for the car or whatever.
1 really long extension cord, 50 ft maybe.
A few ac to DC inverters

Check out CapnLoki's battery thread.

You have a ResMed AirCurve 10 machine...so you would need one of these which ain't cheap
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... hines.html
Now you could buy the ResMed battery package but the cost is going to be way more than you want to spend.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... curve.html
Same with a portable generator...they aren't cheap and require some sort of fuel (usually gas)...noisy too.
And of course you never ever run them anywhere in or near the house or window...gotta be outside somehow.
Cheapest solution would be one of CapnLoki's battery systems but you for sure need that converter with a ResMed. No way around that.
and by the time you get the converter and a decent battery...you are out at least a couple hundred dollars depending on battery.
You've almost waited too long to get what you need if you are thinking Irma heading your way.
I would bet that even if you wanted a portable generator they are already in short supply in your area.
