Exhale ports

Post by NyNurse33 » Sun Oct 08, 2006 1:12 pm

Does anyone know if the comfort lite 2 has an additional exhale port near the swivel elbow at the top of the mask. Sometimes I can feel air there, not like the obvious port, but its there. Also when I had bad rain out, it was leaking alot there as well. The reason I'm asking is because I just covered all other exposed areas of my mask with fleece to prevent rain out and I obviously don't want to cover an intentional exhale port.

There's no exhale port up on the swivel on top of the CL2. If you're feeling air or moisture coming out around that swivel on top of the head, that's a connection leak that should be stopped. If it's just a tiny leak up there that's not making noise to bother you, no big deal, but I'd work on stopping it anyway.

Hey, Melissa...you're ready to start modifying masks and posting retouched pictures of the changes! Cool! I'll set a lab rat tropy back in reserve for ya.

Maybe the fleece wrapped around it will stop any leak. Its not big, but who knows. BTW any technical skills I am exhibiting----I learned from the master...Rested gal...ever heard of her?

You have to be careful pretending to be her, though. I tried to modify my medium-sized Aura pillows to make the holes slightly bigger to get more air through - like she did - and modified myself right out of a working set of pillows. I cut away too much. Oh well - I've been using my large pillows instead, and, while they're making my nares sore and red, they're actually fitting better, to some extent. I used to feel with the medium pillows that they would sometimes get smushed and the air cut off when I put my head in certain positions. The large seems to actually work better - even though I look like Jack Frost has been nipping at my nose.

All's well that ends well, right? Now if my nose will just hurry up and adjust...
