Cpap malfunction

1. First, why on earth under post a new topic, does it say your message contains too few characters? No shit Sherlock - I hadn't even started typing with these microscopic keys!!!

2. Why are there so many posts about the filter? It just makes things more confusing ! So just to make sure I understand this, is it the mesh side that has the pattern? That's what faces out ?
It is bad enough that the stupid iPhone, because I need to use Siri for dictation that it has its own interpretation of my slow and articulate enunciation. Then you have the ritual of daily maintenance of your CPAP machine, cleaning this replacing that. I mean I realize that your breathing in this air, so it does make sense that you need to maintain your machine and equipment. I have a number of autoimmune disease is including severe Crohn's disease and type two diabetes, I don't even want to think about how much time I spend between being on the toilet checking my blood sugar two or three times a day, and spending a third of my waking hours on the damn toilet. This is no quality of life for me, I won't even go into the hardships that I am facing .

3. I have a heated tube, and found out the hard way that the humidifier on my Phillips Resporal Nick CPAP machine does not accommodate a heated tube. Since I have a humidifier and settings to regulate how cool or warm I want the air, do I really need to be concerned about what I need to accommodate the heated tube? Do I need an entirely different humidifier? From the instructions, it looks like the top part of the humidifier uses a swivel port that is different than the one that I have that uses a regular hose? Whenever I get my supplies, from verus healthcare, formerly cpap club ( some name, huh? its like CPAP hair club for men, lol it's one club that I would prefer not to be a member of, but it's one of my ailments.)
. At first he suspected it could be the SD card
4 I am getting a message in the window of my CPAP that says service required. I had been having this intermitting problem where in the middle of the night, air stops flowing, on the ramp button starts flashing and making chirping sounds. Someone at the service department has been emailing with me to try to troubleshoot. At first, he thought it could be the SD card being corrupted and impacting the machine. For a while it was working better, but the same problem occurs. I have been using the machine without the card in it, but the same thing happens. Although I doubt this could be the problem, I have been using a Bluetooth module , That syncs up with my DreamMapper app. When the air stops flowing, thank goodness I could still breathe, how ever I immediately wake up because I am not feeling any air coming in. I don't want to go through having to be two weeks Without my cpap, and I cannot afford to pay for a rental, but I don't think this is something that this forum could offer possible answers to in terms of what could be causing this problem. but I am curious to know if anybody else in this forum has had problems with their machine when it stops flowing and the ramp button starts blinking and chirping. It may have nothing to do with the ramp button, but that's the one thing that I visually notice besides the service required message in the display window. Please feel free to also email me: turbolarry52 (at) gmail (dot) com. Thanks!

Yes, you are frustrated.
Sometimes the process of staying alive can be a bit overwhelming.
Just remember, if you have the energy to get angry, you can also get calm, learn,
and analyze what works--and what does not.
It is a journey; and we often have to walk over rocks to get ahead.
Hang in there, specify your machine make and model, and give us some details.
Someone here will recognize something, and will likely have a solution.
