I am using cpap machine at auto mode, and want to buy a Headrest. But, my local agent inform me that AEIOMed Headrest is only recommended for use with straight CPAP but not with Auto-CPAP because the manufacturer have not tested the Headrest with Auto-CPAP.
Is there anyone using Headrest with CPAP machine set at auto mode? Is that combination OK? Any problem?
Thanks in advance.

I believe we're all very happy with it.
Aeiomed haven't tested the mask with an autopap and so the don't want to be legally responsible for saying it can be used etc.
I can remember - offhand - one person who really didn't feel good with it, Snoozin'blues.
Use the search button and search for Aura (the Headrest's original name) you'll find tons of info.
What's your pressure?

I'm very happy with Aeiomed's Headrest (Aura) mask. I did make some rather drastic tweaks to mine because I like to use my own "headgear" with it.
I think the exhaust from any nasal pillows interfaces are generally more noticeable than from any nasal mask (covers the nose) like the Activa.
Aeiomed's Headrest interface makes a shuuussshhh sound each time you inhale. It's definitely not as noisy as the Swift nasal pillows, imho. It's about the same sound as the inhale sound of the Breeze nasal pillows and the ComfortLite 2 nasal pillows.

Guest,
My pressure range is 14 - 17, so close to your range. I only use the Headrest since last December with my APAP and haven't had any problems. I had to use the rubberband trick, but since then everything is AWESOME.
As RG said, it makes a shuuuuusshh sound, however, it isn't too loud. I had the Activa before and that one drove me nuts. First the leaks, then the heaviness, and finally the sound.

Headrest w/ APAP
I had the same concerns. A rep at cpap.com said that other customers didn't have a problem using the Headrest w/ APAP. I phoned the manufacturer, AEIOMed. They said they haven't finished the federal testing required to list APAP compatability, but that many of their customers used the nasal pillows with APAP with no problems.
