Hybrid Mask to the UK

Post by rotoplooker » Mon Oct 02, 2006 7:55 am

I had previously posted about the imminent arrival of the Hybrid mask in the UK after I was advised that it would be 'any day now' by the Teleflex Medical UK base.

This turned out to be what could best be described as total and utter lies, since I found out through the US base that the mask has not even been kite marked/CE approved for use and sale in Europe yet.

Thanks to a couple of members of this forum who offered to sell me their unwanted Hybrids, but after lots of deliberation and befuddlement (maybe that's the apneas doing that)) I decided to buy one, brand new from the US and it just arrived

Here is a breakdown of the costs I incurred buying it, to show anyone thinking about doing the same.

1 - Hybrid Mask complete set up @ $174.49
2 - Shipping to the United Kingdom @ 59.25
3 - UK duty/Tax on arrival in England @ $61.33

That's a grand total of $295.07 or £156.62 (pounds)

If it works out better than the nose plugs, will you change your avitar?

Just kidding, I found the Hybrid, for me, is better than $300.00 worth of
the others. However, as we yanks say: "Your mileage may vary".

Best of luck with your new mask.

Looking at your avatar, I will be suprised if the mask works for you, being as you are a Dalek and all (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Besides that, I understand that both your species and the Time Lords are extinct, except for the Doctor. My condolences, and best wishes for finding a mask that works.

I could have saved you $130US by bringing you a Hybrid when I go to visit my sister-in-law in London, but it's done now. This offer is only extended to endangered species.

You would probably be charged UK duty on it I think and I would have insisted on paying you something for your trouble but thanks for that anyway, for me, "resistance was useless" so I bought one.
