Question Concerning Sleepy Head Summary Report

Post by Comfortably Numb » Mon Jun 12, 2017 5:18 am

I have my first cpap treatment follow-up with my SleepMed internist this morning. I loaded last night's data, went to the summary page, clicked on File>Print, and received a two page printout. The report would have easily fit onto one page, but two pages with lots of wasted white space were produced.

I couldn't find any way to make the summary print onto one page so I looked at the choices under File, View, etc. The only choice that seemed even remotely applicable was File>"Full Screen Toggle" (it could have been View>"Full Screen Toggle" not sure). I selected this option and two things happened: (1) The File View Data Help bar is non-responsive; and (2) there is no way to close the Sleepy Head program without doing a control/alt/delete. After I got out, I went back in and the File View Data Help bar is still unresponsive, and I still have to a control/alt/delete to close the program.

I have no problem taking a two page report to my doctor. However, I would like to undo the glitch I produced by selecting "Full Screen Toggle." Any suggestions short of deleting and reloading the entire program? thanks

If F11 does not help (note: on some notebooks / laptops you have to press the "FN" key TOGETHER WITH THE F11 key):

press start - type in "regedit" without the quotes - open that.
go to: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Jedimark\SleepyHead\MainWindow (if you have the creators update you can paste that right under the menu)
delete the key "geometry" (simply delete it)

all should be fine now.

as for the report: on the 2nd page should only be the changes in prescription ... as not every doctor is too keen about that it is put on a different page - it's easier to leave that out if you don't feel too comfortable about the "why did you dare to change the settings"-talk with your doc^^

WOW, what a mistake! When you say, "(if you have the creators update you can paste that right under the menu)," are you referring to the link I originally used (one month ago) to download the Sleepy head program? I'll give all of this a try after my appointment. Thanks for your input!

Never mind, someguy34. I just did exactly what you suggested (minus the "creator's update") and it cleared up the problem perfectly. I would never have known what to do, and still don't know what in the hell I just did. Glad folks like you are around. Thanks again!

no, that was acutally regarding your windows-version (the last update is called "creators update") ... in the newest windows-10 update regedit got that "navigation" bar. before that you had to "walk" the tree. (you'll see what I mean once you are there)

I'm glad it helped^^ ... never a bad idea to just ask (as long as xxyzx is still away and can't give bad advices^^)

The full screen toggle bug hits some Windows users and not others.
It hit me....PITA...none of the usual stuff like F11 would fix it. I had to change desktop resolution so I could see the menu choices to undo it.
We don't know why it hits some people and not other or why the usual F11 fix doesn't work.
All I know to do is tell people "don't ever do the full screen toggle" or you might end up having to do a lot of unwanted work to get out of it.

Thank you someguy34 for the registry fix.
I saved it for potential later use when someone gets locked into full screen again.
