Insurance reimburement
Insurance reimburement
Wading:
maybe you can ans. this one. Got my first EOB from my insurance. My DME billed them $200 for one month, sound usual?
Any ideas on if this seems customary?

Good scam if you can get it, though.
Maybe I'll buy a batch of machines from CPAP.COM and go into renting them out for 50% of purchase price each month, allowing them to "rent to own" this piece of equipment in only 7 short months.
Man, I wish I could get away with that on our rental units. Could rent them for $25,000/month and retire in NO TIME.
Liam, who really wants to retire to Hawaii and raise flowers to make Leis. Everyone likes a good lei.

Liam,
Then you would be the evil landlord
Come to think of it, I'm sure a few of my renters have thought of me as evil even though the monthy rent we charge is less than 1% of the the value of the property. I guess that makes the DME really evil

Well, we've decided to let Janet run the rental side of things, because she knows that stuff better than I do, but I think we also get the benefit that it's a lot harder for people to give a hard time to an attractive woman than to the beast half of our "Beauty and the Beast" marriage.
But clearly, I'm getting off topic.
Liam, who never let that stop him before.

I think our abreviated discussion of world of rental real estate and the relative rent/value ratios puts the DME rental thing in perspective. Your original point is VERY instructive in regard to the obscene rental rates charged by the evil DMEs. It's a good thing we don't have to rent appartments from DMEs.
Now, how did you talk Janet into handling the rentals? I've tried that with Kelly, and have had no luck convincing her that her beauty and charm will bring in more bucks! (and keep the renters happier).
Now, we are off topic!
