Cost for those Hybrid Replacement Parts

Well.....just opened yesterdays mail-here is what Apria billed Medicare & insurance and the Medicare EOB for the Hybrid:

Headgear (remember that flimsy thing) $96.50
Pillows $163
Cushion $88.50
Shell $508.
TOTAL $856.

Medicare allowable is $326.57-Of which they paid $261.26 and my insurance will probably pay $65.13 and I don't think I'll have any for the rest of the year since I've met all the deductibles. I hope when you get replacement cushions & pillows they send all three sizes so we can at least trade. With the difficulty of using the thing I'm having serious doubts about the continuing use of it. You may think why should I care -I don't have to pay anything. I'm hoping Medicare and insurance remain affordable through my lifespan so I'm concerned about costs like these. Will insurance providers continue to pay for DME?. And what about accessibility for those who have low income and no insurance. I want to see some costs on other masks. Maybe it ends up the same since Medicare doesn't ever specify it was a Hybrid-but there is still that replacment schedule.

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just order a new Hybrid?

I have HIP insurance. Just found out they paid $120.00 for the complete hybrid mask.
