Hi, Resmed Germany announced the new Swift II some days ago
They modified the Nasal Pillows System, by removing the exhale-ports from the pillow-sleeve, placing the ports on the pillow-frame.
At the same time the amount of exhale-ports(holes) have been increased, but are smaller in size. Resmed claims that this new design is producing less noise.
The smaller holes act as kind of a diffusor, so the airstream will be wide-spread and will have less effect on you or your partner.
As far as I could see the headgear/tubing stills the same.
No Price-Information was made available.
I didn't found any information on resmed.com, so I'll set a link to the german video/documents.

Cool. They've got the same info at their website from France (http://www.resmed.fr) so I guess it's out in Europe but not here yet in North America.
I used the Mirage Swift for about 8 or 9 months until it started badly hurting my nostrils. By that time, hubby had gotten sick and tired of the air constantly blowing in him. We had pretty much gotten used to the noise until I started using the F&P HC406, which is silent. Now I don't think I could tolerate the noise from the Mirage Swift anymore. But I'd be ready to test this new one when it finally comes out in Canada. By then, I'll probably be due to replace the HC406 (I've had it about a month but I'm sure it'll take a while to get here).
I'm looking forward to it coming out and reading about other people here trying it out.

Exhaustive Testing
I'm glad ResMed is still tweaking the Swift. That exhaust was one big difference I noticed when getting my CL 2. With the Swift, it seemed that when it was properly adjusted for my nares, the exhaust was annoyingly blowing somewhere I did not want it blowing.
Now, if only ResMed will tweak their Internet pricing policy.
