Just got an Activa, and I'm having some problems figuring out how to adjust the headgear.
You can see a picture of the headgear here.

At the back of the head, The Topmost strap has some slack on it, although the middle and lower ones are snug. I can't figure out how to tighten it down without either overtightening the middle strap or wearing really really low on my head.
It worked fine with no leaks last night, but I'm concerned that if I toss and turn a bit more tomorrow without it snugly fastened that it may come off.
Any suggestions?
Mirage Activa Headgear - 1 strap is slack.
I'm also an activa user, and I had to doctor the headgear to fit my head -- here's what I did:
The whole works seemed to be too "long" for my head, i.e., the lower part rode quite low on my neck, and the top strap was quite loose. So I folded the bottom strap (the one with the logo on it) up against the part right above it and stitched them together. This helped the top strap get tighter.
However, I was having problems with the mask riding up my face during the night - it would get way up by my eyes and start to leak - so I added an additional strap that I salvaged from another headgear set - this is just a long piece of stretchy stuff with velcro at the ends that I looped over the top mask strap (the one that connects to the forehead piece), under my chin, and then over to the other top mask strap. This holds the forehead piece securely in place and keeps the mask from riding up. It might also do some chin strap duty for people who need that...

I really LOVE my Activa .....but can anyone truly love a mask?wahooker wrote:Just got an Activa, and I'm having some problems figuring out how to adjust the headgear.
But seriously, I wear the top straps snug, but NOT too tight.
I leave the bottom straps VERY loose, and I get a great seal.
The Activa was designed to be worn somewhat loosely, and as I have said here before, it just sort of 'floats' on your face.
