snoring again

Post by bdp522 » Mon Sep 04, 2006 9:12 am

I've been on cpap for 5 weeks now and had almost no trouble adjusting to treatment. I'm at a pressure of 7, with c-flex set at 3. Last night my husband woke me to tell me I was snoring loudly! This hasn't happened since I started cpap. I can't do much with the machine because I have to show compliance to the Apria for another month. Would changing the c-flex setting help? Would Apria be able to tell I changed the c-flex setting?

Brenda

Snoring could be indicative of you needing a higher pressure, or of mouthbreathing. Any chance you're mouth-breathing? If so, we have lots of suggestions for that around here.

Since I use the hybrid mask I didn't think mouth breathing was an issue. Was I wrong?

You could have leaks, your profile shows you have a APAP what pressures is it set at? what is your 90% pressure? Jim

I can't use apap yet because apria is monitoring my compliance for another month. Then I'll get the card reader and be able to do more. Will they be able to see if I change the c-flex setting?
