Hurricanes, spam, and card readers

Post by cwsanfor » Fri Sep 01, 2006 4:25 am

I don't much care that the hurricane is headed straight towards my house, because I have battery back ups. The mask malfunction last night I'll recover from. I'll deal with my card reader being down. I've had no coffee, but will make some. But this spam is getting on my last nerve.

I've never understood how these pencil-neck no-life jackanapes have the time or motivation to mess with people like this. I've deleted at least 30 pieces this morning.

Johnny, I know you're on the case, and I assume you have IP logging enabled. Give me something to work with and I'll see about Sam Spading the swine and see if I can get someone to have a word with them.

They don't need time or motivation -- it's all automated. It's all done with scripts ("bots"). There's no human interaction whatsoever.
