Problem with CPAP tubing, please help

Post by ccassidyvt802 » Thu Aug 31, 2006 4:47 pm

Hello. I am new to this board and have sleep apnea. I use the nasal pillows (NasalAire 2). The problem I'm having is that, even under the force of gravity, the tubing that leads from the main pipe to the nasal pillows bends and cuts off the air flow, which as you can imagine would wake a person up. I have been so exhausted. Any input would be appreciated.

EDIT: Ooops ... I misunderstood your question ... hopefully an experienced member can help you out soon.

I'm going to call my supplier in the morning and discuss this issue. I've got a 6-month-old and can't afford to be so tired. Thanks for the advice.

I don't have that mask, but I came across this review comment on the cpap.com product page:

"If anyone is interested in REPLACEMENT TUBING - go to Home Depot like I did and get 1/2 inch clear tubing. It's 10 times more durable, and you can get a 20 foot role for about 8 dollars. The soft tubing kinks, and once it does toss it out and go with the heavy duty stuff.

Sounds like this might be a quick and inexpensive solution to your problem.
