Medicare will cover a new mask for me right now, and I'm deciding if I want to get another Simplus or try something different. I am looking for a full face mask, not nasal. I'm curious about the ComfortGel and the DreamWeaver, but of course there are mixed reviews for every mask.
The three qualities that are the most important to me are:
-good for side sleeping (most important)
-minimal leaks (or easy to control)
-doesn't require constant adjustments
I have tried the Simplus, the Airfit F10, and the QuattroAir. The Simplus has been the best but is still pretty temperamental. Is there something better I can try?
Help me pick out a new mask

Re: Help me pick out a new mask
You sound like you know that it's completely personal, so I hope you don't mind my asking why you're even asking anyone else about this - even a parent with similar bone structure can't really say what will work for you, so how can any of us do it? It's not as if you're asking about a particular feature - your criteria are very general and one-fits-all type of things. Remember to try on FFMs when lying down because your face changes a lot then, as it also does after even a small weight gain or loss. And PapPillow.com and/or Padacheek.com can probably help with whatever choice you make. Any mask under particular conditions on a given night may need adjusting. No one can guarantee a leakless mask that fits you in your bed, with your pillows, etc... and most of us side sleep a lot of the time and have to work out our own ways to do it. You'll get people responding to this, who've had personal luck with a certain mask, but it doesn't mean it will suit you.
Re: Help me pick out a new mask
I can't comment on full face masks since I don't use them, but I did get the Dreamwear mask (I assume that is what you meant by Dreamweaver) last go around. It was uber comfortable, but after 3 nights, it started leaking like crazy. Many people like this mask, but I guess you won't know if you get the leak problem unless you try it.

Re: Help me pick out a new mask
A lot depends on why the masks that did not work for you---didn't.
For example, I cannot wear most full face masks because they rock on my cheekbones,
making simultaneous nose and chin seal impossible.
The Comfortgel (now "Blue") full face mask was the only full face mask that had a deep enough cushion
to allow me to have an acceptable and comfortable fit.
This is a much heavier mask than nearly every other mask, so there is a big trade-off.
