Extremely dry mouth.

Post by Bebemoss » Mon Mar 21, 2016 7:12 pm

I have recently lost over 30 lbs and since then am waking up with extremely dry mouth. Have never had trouble with this before. Could I need to decrease my pressure or is this just something new I will have to deal with? I use the nasel mask.

You might be opening and leaking air from your mouth. If you fix the leak, your mouth might be moist again. Therapy effectiveness can be reduced a lot by mouth leaks (as far as I know). I use Orajel dry mouth gel for my dry mouth, which is caused by mouth breathing with a FF mask. Good luck.

I agree that you're probably leaking air out of your mouth while you're sleeping.

Do you have a data-capable machine? Are you monitoring your therapy with software?

What (specific) machine, mask and settings are you using?

You need to know what you're fixing and why before you start changing settings.
