my sinuses close unless i sleep almost upright - very uncomfortable.any
sugestions please, please, please!

You might try a nasal douche -- a glass apparatus that runs about $12 from the pharmacy. Fill it with a mild saline solution and rinse your nasal passages nightly before bed. The best part about it is that it works on gravity so nothing is "forced" into your sinuses. I started using one to help with post-nasal drip, but find that it also clears most congestion.

You can also use one of those little bulbs that parents use to clear the "bats in the cave" i.e. excess mucous from infant nostrils. It's cheap and it works.

If none of the above solutions work, you may have to opt for CPAP w/ mouth breathing using an appropriate mask (Hybrid or some other full face mask) ... I can imagine your discomfort ... good luck.
