Advanced Home Care

Post by Cavalier » Mon Feb 29, 2016 8:15 pm

Has anyone worked with this company? This is the company I am being referred to after I returned my equipment to Apria. I really just would rather purchase out of pocket but my doctor's office wants to save me money....if things don't get settled tomorrow...I am going to purchase straight out. I haven't had my APAP machine for a while now. I am tired and grumpy. I just don't want to deal with another company like Apria. Their website appears to indicate that they don't have the Autosense 10 model. If that is the case....this is not going to happen. I am calling tomorrow. They may have just not updated their page in a while.

If you go up to the Search function line above and put in "Advanced Home Care" there will be about 5 pages of links to sort through. Obviously, there are many that don't pertain to them, but I did find a few which specifically named them, but didn't read them for the information.
You may actually be ahead of the game to just purchase out of pocket rather then having to jump through the insurance and billing hoops.

I tried that at first but didn't find anything specific to the company...just funky wording. I will look again.

The way I am feeling right now....yes, this is so true.

I fired Apria before they had the chance.
My a-hole tolerance is very low.

No significant problems. My doctor wrote the prescription the way I wanted it and they supplied what I asked for and give me the supplies I need when insurance covers them. So no problems. No DME is great but I have had no serious problems yet.

I work with them as well. If you're a straight CPAP/BIPAP patient and don't have a lot of special needs, they should be fine.

I go to the Cary, NC branch of Advanced Home Care. The staff is extremely helpful. I have no complaints at all!

What a difference a DME makes!!!! I finally was able to pick up my new equipment today. I must say the difference between Advanced Home Care ( ) in my area and Apria ( ) is night and day! Advanced Home Care has been amazing. There was some confusion initially getting my script sent. They worked with my doctor's office and got things straightened out. I was calling both offices daily and they were very helpful once we figured out the problems. Anyway I picked up my new machine today. Got exactly what I wanted (they helped me with that too), a heated tube and a new mask. They gave me additional filters and additional pillows for the mask. I will be trying out the new mask tonight. It is a Nuance Pro. They will contact me automatically when it is time to replace supplies. When I call, someone answers right away...no being on hold for 30 minutes. I will try out my new machine tonight. I can't wait for a good nights sleep. Happy happy!

I don't know if they told you their policy on mask exchanges or not during your first month. Well you can switch out to a different mask once. So you get two home trials basically then you have to make your final decision on those choices. So it isn't great but it is better than nothing. So if you try that mask and give it a good go and hate it when you go back be sure that you take home a mask that you really think could work for you. Just thought I would share just in case they weren't up front with you about that. They were not with me and that was one of the few problems I had with them.

I now have three different masks, the new Nuance, the Swift FX that Apria gave me and I also purchased a P10 privately. The FX works fine but I will give the Nuance a try and save the P10 for later. The tech knew I had the other masks and suggested I give the Nuance a try. The insurance approved the new mask. If I hate it, I will contact them. It actually felt very comfortable when I tried it at the office.

Let me know how you like the Nuance compared to the P10 because the P10 is my main mask. Always like to hear others thoughts and opinions.
