Hi,
I am on my second machine. I got it in 2014 after my second sleep study was done. The first was done in 2007 and I had a different machine then.
The machine I currently use is a ResMed AirSense 10 autoset elite CPAP. I do not use the humidifier as I do not like the rainforest effect. Last night it felt like more pressure was coming out of the machine but it's still set at 11cm. I do not know if it's just that I don't need that much pressure now or what. My chest was also sore from it and felt like it was forcing too much air into me and was noisier. There is a part of the tube that is open for air emergencies I presume and that seemed louder than normal.
Anyway if any of you have had this experience or know what the heck is going on I'd appreciate your help. I see the pulmonologist PA on Monday and hope I get more sleep before then! Thanks, Nan.

It's easy to check the output of the two machines.
Go up to the Search line above and put in "homemade manometer" and you'll find many posts. One of the easiest to do is by a forum member by the name "tomjax". All it takes is a bucket of water and a ruler (marked in centimeters).
