HC220 and Comfortlite II

Post by mhutsell3 » Sun Aug 27, 2006 10:01 am

I am curious as to whether this headgear is really designed for use with the HC220 CPAP? I often wake feeling like I am suffocating. Anyone else out there have any experience with this unit and gear? If it is not should I ask my doctor to switch to a new unit?

Does anyone also know if there is software available for the Paykel units? (HC220) I would really like to be able to monitor on my own my treatment. I have not asked my doctor this question yet.

Recently my doctor has moved away from his practice and I am waiting for the office where I go to find a new doctor. Currently I am being treated by the Nurse Practitioner.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's a cpap and has a hose it should work. Your mask may not be the problem if you are waking with breathing issues. Rested gal addresses this very well (as usual) on a recent post regarding c-flex. Here is the link viewtopic.php?t=12755. --- BT

Mask-machine compatibility

<If it's a cpap and has a hose it should work.>

I'm skeptical of that statement.

Two particular notes:
> in this forum one thread claims that the Hybrid mask does not work well with a particular machine unless the shell is changed to reduce vent size
> valving in the mask varies and there are automatic features in machines
