A pressure of 2???????? I don't think the pressure will go below 4. How can you set the pressure at 2?

The lowest any machine goes is 3cm/H2O and most go no lower than 4cm/H2O. So your instruction doesn't make sense and it would feel like you are not getting enough air at such a low pressure.

Even at a setting of (3)4, almost everyone would feel they were suffocating. Did you mistype?

While most people may feel like they're suffocating at 4cm, not everybody feels that way. As someone who experienced severe aerophagia at 8-9cm of straight pressure, I do fine at very low pressures as far as my stomach is concerned and I don't feel like I'm suffocating. Alas, 4-5cm of straight pressure is not enough to control my apnea, and the severe aerophagia was the reason I was switched to a BiPAP after about 3 months of agony. I currently use a BiPAP starting out the night at 6/4 (min pressure) and I don't feel suffocated. Nor do I feel like a stuffed (inflated) goose within minutes of putting on my mask.

I doubt the OP is around any more. But in case you are:

1) Learn to set the pressure on your machine yourself and set it at 5 cm. If you still feel inflated within minutes, it's going to be tough, but there are ways to try to deal with the aerophagia. If you wind up feeling suffocated because of "lack of air", you can increase the pressure bit by bit later.

2) You do need to monitor the data to see whether 5cm is effective in treating your OSA. If it is and your stomach can tolerate that bit of extra pressure, that's great. If not, you can work on seeing whether you can slowly increase the pressure as you get used to it until you find a pressure that works for controlling the OSA while at the same time does not trigger the awful aerophagia.
