Another Newbie

Post by Holden4th » Wed Feb 24, 2016 3:43 am

Hello

I couldn't find an introductions thread so I'll introduce myself,

Diagnosed in late 2015, took new machine on holiday which was a mistake.

Sleep clinic diagnosis of AHI 57

Currently using F&P Icon+ Auto with Dreamwear mask

Have finally learned to tolerate it all.

Still coming to terms with CPAP so this forum is important.

Cheers

Hi Holden,

Congrats on taking care of yourself. I can't imagine starting out using the CPAP and going on vacation. Braver man than I.

I use the same machine as you, started out with sleep study AHI of 134.8 in Nov 2015 and finally I'm running between 1-3 now. I have not made changes to the settings (auto between 4-20) and it just does its thing. Some swear by the single setting. Differences make the world more interesting.

If you plan to lurk for a while, you can wait doing all the administrative stuff. If you plan to ask questions or participate, you might want to pick an avatar, load your equipment specifics so you don't have to keep repeating yourself, start downloading your information to Sleepyhead and tell people something about yourself. That's it. I will say there are some very good resources.

So welcome and hope all is well.

Kind regards,
GB

PS - the front page has a bunch of great information. Be sure to search the forum for answers before posting a question. You will figure out why soon enough.
