Yes and no.
I agree with many of the previous members that posted.
I gained a lot of valuable information here and it was not always directly related to equipment and the like.
I do think an off-topic forum should be made if the administrators find it possible, We could then go wayyyy off topic and not interrupt the direct CPAP related threads. But if it remains the same I have no objections what-so-ever.

Wow! I missed something yesterday huh?
Liam... I think that you are NOT funny at all! I hate a world that has humor in it...we should all be depressed and cranky. after all we have this condition that gives us a great excuse to be ill with everyone...why not use it?
Seriously I do believe that you do liven up this forum and if "guest" has a problem with it "guest" needs to go "guest" another forum.

Liam
I have found myself totally exhausted and sleep deprived some days and when I browse through this forum for support knowing all you people are out there I have sat here all by myself and totally broke out laughing.......so don't let the odd comment get to you and don't loose your humour. There are so many people out there that find it hard to find humour when we are so tired. We are all definitely getting lots of great information on this forum and a little humour is a BONUS!
So far from this forum I have learned all there is to know about the masks, mouth leaks, etc.(which I was having a LOT of trouble with) I am now on my fourth which is a FF Mirage which is very comfortable now and I wear it every night with no problem. This valuable information came from all of you out there.
This forum directed me to try an auto-pap which my DME let me use for 3 weeks and it definitely improved my sleeping. I have now had one week on my regular Remstar Pro with Cflex/Humidifier and I know I want to purchase the Remstar Auto with Cflex/Humidifer since this past week has not been so great.
So, my answer to you is yes I want keep seeing your posts along with everyone else. And I look forward to Easter and your chicken jokes!

Wow.. Liam!! If you were looking for a pat on the back.... I say we all are giving you it!!
Personnally.... I enjoy your sense of humor!! Without it every now and again, this forum would be quite boring!!!
Yes, we are all on here for information and advice... but heck 100% of info and advice would be extremely boring!!! It would be like reading a Medical Book! How many times do you fade out what your doc is saying, especially when he talks in medical terms and not human term? I know I always have to remind my doc that I don't have a medical degree!!
Keep it up, Liam.... We love your sense of humor!! Thank you!

Just to check in here...I was the original poster who posted with annoyance of not just Liam's posts, but others, too. I stated my own feeling (albeit, an unpopular one) that there seemed to be an "old boys club" mentality of a few posters taking over every thread and backing each other up to take it in the direction that they chose to. I felt this was disservice, especially to the newcomer looking for answers, and also when attempting to search out pertinent information (via the search function) and coming up with too many posts (again, in my own opinion) by that select few. When someone new comes on the board and wants info about a certain machine or such, I would assume that they want diversity in opinions and not just the select few who may push away others.
This is my first post in this particular thread. So, the "other" guest(s) who have posted here are truly that. Since I had already noted my opinion in another thread, where I had hoped it would end, I did not feel the need to post here until my comments were being mistaken for others.
I apologized in that other thread if my comments were to lead to a flame board and stated a wish for this NOT to become just that. I wish to express those same sentiments here, so please, let's all refrain from going there...or else we will end up there, like any other board. Like I said previously, this board has done so much good for so many people, myself included. Liam, people obviously DO like your humor. I suspected that I was in the minority and that my opinion was not a popular one. I will just read over it from now on.
Liam, in the hopes that this stops here and goes no further, I offer you an apology. Things were bad for me yesterday, and I seemed to have taken all that out on you. I went looking down a thread and felt once again that things were swaying and it just hit me wrong. By no means (IMO) are you the only one that does this, but I just happened to caught a thread where it was you.
I was wrong, and I am sorry.

No problem. I've certainly had days where I've had to issue apologies, so I totally understand. And I DO value your opinion, the problem being that you can't please everyone.Original Guest wrote:By no means (IMO) are you the only one that does this, but I just happened to caught a thread where it was you.

I try generally to not take a thread off-track until after I think there's been a good attempt to answer it, but I know I don't always succeed, and I know that sometimes things I post encourage others to the point that it really goes awry.
I hope your day is going better today than it was yesterday.
Liam, trying to be funny AND topical.
