data card replacement?

Post by Cardsfan » Sun Nov 08, 2015 2:17 pm

How long does a data card last? Is that something that needs to be replaced? (Resumed Airsense10 auto)

I've had 3 cards now, they seem to last a little longer than a year. I just wait for the cards to stop working, and then get a new one. Most of your data (except for detailed data) is stored in the machine for the last year. So when your machine can no longer read/write your card, or it doesn't work in your computer anymore, you can get a new one. The first time that you put it into your cpap, the cpap will write it's internally saved data to the card.

So, yes, they do wear out, and it is an easy process to just start using another card. The first 2 cards I got were plain SD cards. The third time, I couldn't find any plain old SD cards locally, so I got a 16GB SDHC card that works fine in my S9.

I am still using the original SD card that came with my S9...It is currently 18 months old without indication of any problems.

Mine crapped out totally after about 2 to 3 years, or maybe even longer, in the machine. I removed it very few times so it was subjected to electrical wear only.

Yeah, I take my data card out of my cpap about once a week. The last card that I replaced was still okay with the cpap, but my computer couldn't read it anymore. I tried everything that I could think of with my computer, but the new card was just fine wtih the computer. The cards are cheap, so I just use them until they stop working for me and replace them and call it a day.
