My DME was the same way. I had to turn in my N10 to get the P10. I didn't feel comfortable doing that because what if the P10 didn't work. I wanted a fall back mask. I ended up keeping my N10 and buying my P10 from Amazon. Funny thing is I've never looked back to my N10.

If you're willing and able to purchase another mask you could keep the N10 and purchase the P10 from our sponsors with return insurance. I like having more than one type of mask as back up in case I'm having some issues with my primary mask for some reason.

My doc had no problem giving me a script for mask, tubing and accessories on a standard script pad. You should be able to call your doc and request it (I would ask for it to come to you directly so you will have it if you need to purchase elsewhere for any reason). Or you can even have cpap.com call for you.

Two things you need to request.
1. A copy of your Sleep Study.
2. Your prescription.
They are your medical records and are yours. I had no problem getting mine. They may charge you for copying but mine didn't.
When you have your Rx you can send copies to online suppliers.

No, they say on their site that Medicare and Medicaid do not reimburse for purchases on cpap.com (https://www.cpap.com/cpap-faq/Insurance.html).

The P10 has 3 main parts, frame, headgear, and cushion then there are side piece wraps. You can buy the parts on Ebay and put it together. No Rx necessary there. Also Amazon has complete masks.
Take a look at how much your DME will charge and then search out other places for the best price.
