DIY FFM liner for short term

Post by Morningglory » Fri Oct 30, 2015 10:04 pm

I have a Simplus FFM, size medium. I'd been using a Pad-a-Cheek liner with it but have been having problems with the liner because it's sized wrong and worry that it's a choking hazard. (I wrote to them and Karen very kindly said she would make me a new one that fit better, so I'm not trying to slam Pad-a-Cheek by any means.)

Anyway, I've been trying to just not use a liner while I wait, but that's not working well. The sound bothers me, the mask squeaks, I get too sweaty and it breaks the seal.

I'm not sure if I could trim the liner I have down to the proper size or not, or how I would do it. Are there other options for making some kind of liner to use while I wait for my new one?

How about an old T shirt - you could cut to fit while waiting on the new one.

There's a gal here on CPAPtalk that sometimes talks about Remzzz pure cotton liners (she works for them). I think she can get you a free sample of six liners. Now if only I could remember her name. Anyway, here is the website. Maybe somebody else will know:

I like them and use them every night... they are quite comfortable and effective because they are made from baby jersey cotton. I gently wash them and reuse them so the cost is very nice. I never had much luck with cut up Tshirts since they stretch too much over the course of the night. The fabric Remzzz are made of is thinner than Tshirt fabric, BTW. Just search for Remzzz on this website for other comments.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
