Scoring

Post by Steamy » Tue Oct 20, 2015 12:02 pm

I had my very first sleep study done (at home) on Sunday night. I am waiting for official Dr results but the Nurse said my scoring was in the 80's and that I do have sleep apnea. While I wait, I was hoping to get some insight on scoring and what this means. I'd like to be as knowledgeable as possible in case I have questions about the study as well as the results.

Thanks

Probably means an 80 ahi. Pretty bad number. Stay on top of your journey to get a machine. Educate yourself here, and be sure your dme gives you a data-capable machine. Work all your issues here.

I barely snore at all although I have tons of other "symptoms" of SA. How can I create an account?

While snoring is a common symptom of sleep apnea it isn't a 100% thing one way or the other.
People can have really bad sleep apnea and not snore at all and some people can snore like a freight train and not have sleep apnea.
Looks like you are of the former category...

I'm honestly shocked y'all. I haven't officially heard from the Dr though but it doesn't sound like it was a great result. I did the at home study, does this even matter?
