I have had this unit for 3 years or so, and now am wondering...
When I go on a trip, as I do not need the humidifier at all, can I just take one side of the machine and get a plain hose to attach to the side of the main unit? I know I cannot use the humidifier hose as the orange piece obstructs, but I am thinking a plain hose will work...correct me if I am wrong.

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Hmmm, you are so right!! BUT I never realized that the heated hose really heated. I just tested it and boy is that air cool!!

Interesting my heated hose cannot be reversed to use with just the cpap (no humidifier attached ) tried it a couple weeks ago.
